Taking it slo-mo

Autumn cloudiness is a fine time for some downtempo, slo-mo, sexy tunes.

Especially if it's a Sunday.

That time

It's that time of year, again. The time that sun, sand and sea are your constant companion. The time that all the shit around you seem a little bit better. The time to relax, which as you get older, seems so indispensable. The time that absolutely tones in with this kind of beat.

Ahhh! Finally.

Talking back to the night

I truly have no words for this one.

If a dream could be translated into sound, it would sound like this.

There's also a dub mix available, but it doesn't stack up against the original one.
Oh, and there's your sample.

Ouch!

This is what I call super-dirty, wicked, serious piece of groove.

It has some fades in it, but remains freaking hot throughout.

What happens if you fall in love?

This wonderful tune was a very interesting intro. There are two people (man/woman) talking about love, with the woman stating that relationships are messy and she's better off enjoyin' life on her own, raisin' the amazement and surprise of the young man. I don't know if this is from some kind of movie or something, but it gets really interesting when he asks "What happens if you fall in love?".

This is exactly what happens.

Lovely tune, one of those who feel like butterflies in your stomach from Yazid Le Voyageur (remember him?).

Hope those two worked it out in the end.

Laid-back

I couldn't possibly ask for a better tune to relax, sink into my bed, kiss this tiring week goodbye and get prepared for a new one.

I think I'm more into the instrumental version, as I can better relish the laid-back tempo, the soothing bass, the dope guitar...

Already sinking.

One-year soundigging

It's been a whole year since the very first post in this blog. About 160 posts later, I'd like to share these awesome downtempo, funk-ish, scratchy, atmoshperic tunes from Le Serveur's EP, "Roomies", just to celebrate this first, full-of-sharing-favorite-sounds, year.

You can download the whole EP for free from the cloud above by clicking on the free download button and while listening to it, raise your glass to more years of beautiful sounds to come.

Surprise from Dubai

Rhythmic, soothing, playful, balmy, tuneful, refreshing, mild, trippy.

Bloody Tadi's tune is in total harmony with Sunday's mood and -seriously- its title couldn't be better. Hot as hell, just released and included in the Bust Free 15 compilation (or the oh-my-god-I'm-freakishly-digging-this compilation) by Cold Busted, this one is about to cause serious damage in some brain cells. Oh well, what the heck we're still young, let's burn a few. They'll reproduce.

The Esc track

I would have never guessed this is of Russian origin, but then again why not?

Klar & PF is a creative, Russian duo consisted of Kirill Larionov and Bulat Iskhakov who are into the nu disco sound - their soundcloud page can convince you of that and keep you captive for hours. This is a VIP mix on their Escape track featuring Patrick Baker, offered generously with a free download. Let me know if you can easily escape this.

3 in 1

First heard of Keep Schtum through the Late Night Sessions. After having my regular goggle of surprise and enthusiasm, I spent a considerable amount of time browsing through this dude's sounds, getting a pretty good idea why Greg Wilson supports him, why he's got thousands of followers in soundcloud and why I goggled in the first place. For now, I 'll just give you 3 reasons to goggle too.

This is his widely-played track. Coming from my all-time favorite Odyssey and their homonymous 1980 track, "Hang together". And with a free download situation.

My basic idea was to present an all free-downloads post from the talented Irish, but I couldn't possibly leave the Whispers-inspired out. Enjoy anyway.

His unfinished symphony alive and kickin'. A Slow Train journey you never want to end.

*I'd strongly suggest to consider the above sounds as a trigger that will make you turn Michael McKenna's soundcloud page upside down, exploring and listening to sounds with a volume that allows you to really get the music - but at the same time keep you outta trouble with the neighbours.

Car crash soundtrack

True story: I'm in my car, cruising through the highway. I'm getting this close to my destination (I would turn right and park the car in about 0.78 seconds) when... BANG! A dude from the left confuses his stop sign with street art or something, passes it by recklessly and smashes my beloved car.

At that very moment, I was listening to this awesome track - I know I know, this track could never have prepared me for a car accident.
What the hell was he listening to?
