Taking it slo-mo

Autumn cloudiness is a fine time for some downtempo, slo-mo, sexy tunes.

Especially if it's a Sunday.

My kinda Sunday

Wicked tune for a wicked Sunday, with sax and all.

Ltj can't let you down. Just can't.

(This set can easily prove that as well. Pick a lazy hour of any day and give it a go).

Reminder

Do you know what I love about skilful edits?

That they make me re-love and re-play old favorites that I haven't listened in a long time and that at some point I've even gotten a little bored of, cause of my maniac excessive repetition.

Thank you Jay Todd for this beautiful edit and for bringing me back to my roots.
Richie Havens, I know you' re watching/listening.

Slo-mo goodnight

I usually share my favorite tunes during morning/noon hours in here, but today there seems to be a rearrangement and the order of things is probably on vacation. So, I'm just gonna put an end to this tiring, complex, weird day and tuck you into bed with this fine tune from an awe-inspiring Italian producer.

If I manage to see a decent, surreal dream tonight, I think it's gonna have this as background music while ltj experience will be making me pizza. Or spaghetti.

And then I'll wake up content and full.

Stretched brothers

Vins seemed to have liked this Isley Brothers gem so much that he stretched it out and powered it up a little, so as to have a bit more to enjoy.

Jammin' tune in an extended version, aiming to make you grin a bit longer, offered with a free download, for slo-mo situations.

Bottom line? Stretching is good.

Over - Not Over

During her forties she felt so tired, she committed suicide. Before the period in her life that caused her to end it and spread grief to her fans, she managed to leave a legacy of 10 albums and numerous loved songs to many people, having collaborations with The Whispers, the Four Tops, while she insisted that she didn't wanna change the world - I'm not sure I believe her though. Phyllis Hyman that is, a beloved singer, songwriter and actress. And when you leave a legacy, people are bound to pass it on, honor it, respect it and sometimes maybe update it in a way that younger generations will be able to get to know it. That's what Australian Frankee More did with her song "Some way", (offering also a free download).

Which very well proves that nothing is over, even when everything points out it is.
