Remember the Screw the Carnival post about a week ago? Look what I found!
Perfect edit for a perfect tune and it was plain fate to find this a few days after the original and the reggae version haunted my playlist once again, while the damn Carnival is at its peak.

Sleazy lovin'
It's not been more than two weeks since its release, so it's fresher than half the content of my fridge. The best part, though, is not how fresh it is, but how AWESOME it is. And it is awesome, man.
It is one of those tracks that are exactly as they're supposed to be. One of those tracks that bring spring a bit closer to my soul. One of those tracks that grab my hand and take me to warm and cozy places. It clearly stood no chance of not being discovered and shared. Not even one in a million.
*Whatever you do, don't close this window without checking out SleazyMcQueen's soundcloud. This dude is surreal. And if you wanna listen to what inspired him in the first place, click here. Teena Marie is waiting right there...

Edit pending
Something is very wrong here. I can't find a single edit on this piece of awesomeness. This is wrong, people. It's just wrong.
Jerry and Katreese Barnes (from the Juicy duo) hide behind this track, with Deodato in the producing process. Playful tune, funky guitar, mellow vocals, it's like this whole track is smiling at you for 5 and a half minutes.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Screw the Carnival - I'm going home
I don't know if I've ever told you this, but I really hate Carnival and all these creepy bullshit where you have to dress up like a bunny or a superhero or Obama or a sexy nurse and dance to all these oh-god-take-me-now carnival music, having some kind of fun. If you'd put me in a "fun" environment like this, I'd probably make an attempt to maybe move my lips simulating a smile, only after having taken care of about 10 tequila shots. By now, you must have realized how much of an easy-going person I am.
However, there are two things I adore about this period, every year: food and springish weather. I can't tell you much about food (hint: Fat Thursday), but I can tell you that this weather really softens me and one reason for that is the music it makes me wanna listen to.
Ok, maybe I'm a bit cliché for choosing reggae with the first rays of warm sun, but this track is not just a reggae track. It's a reggae track that comes from this, which has also given this to the world. I mean, all these together could even make me wear a princess costume -that's why they're never included in the same playlist.
The funniest part is that I discovered the reggae version not from a fancy compilation or a groovy album, but from the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video game my niece and nephew were playing. And I loved these two little bastards for this even more.

Feel-better soundtrack
When I was little, I had a certain cassette I would press play to the times I was feeling sad cause my brother would mess up all my toys, my sister wouldn't lend me her sweater, my friend at school wouldn't tell me her secret or my parents wouldn't buy me enough ice-cream. That cassette was, oddly enough, a compilation of classical music pieces and I believe I haven't sat down to listen to classical music since then -I really can't explain this choice of mine back then.
Later in my teenage years, where my ups and downs were similar to Space Mountain and my music taste would range from Doors to The Prodigy I would still make a weird choice for a teenager in the '90s. The music that would keep me company when I got the blues for a boy was oldies, stuff from the 50's and the '60s, rock'n'roll and doo-wop, uplifting sound -even if the lyrics were mushy and all.
The last soundtrack I had for difficult times was a speed garage compilation (this one to be exact) an old friend had given me, which I would always listen to in my early twenties. The energy and rhythm of this music would always absorb the bad stuff, so it suited me right. After that, I have no recollection of a specific feel-better soundtrack in my life.
The other day, as I was browsing through youtube and soundcloud, I came across a freshly uploaded set from DjJade who I must say I completely trust as far as filter house and quality is concerned.
I believe this is gonna be my new music shelter next time I feel like being with me, myself and I. Totally uplifting, but with a nostalgic touch and melody with rhythm that can make you move your body and seem weird, but don't give a shit about it.
Download it for free here, check out the playlist and have a good time with it. Whether you're up or down.

Bipolar
For the sake of this post, let's assume that the french-touched remixes and the original sample-spreading tracks are categories of people.
Sample: decent, cute, clean-cut, tidy, affectionate person with whom you want to cuddle, whisper love words, hold hands, smooch, tease, look straight in the eye and possibly cause nausea to those who don't get it.
French-touched: dirty, sick bastard who brings out your hot-blooded self, from whom you can't keep your hands off, whose passion could load you for more than a lifetime and possibly cause nausea to those who don't get it.
Lovin' both categories equally. *shrug*

Slo-mo goodnight
I usually share my favorite tunes during morning/noon hours in here, but today there seems to be a rearrangement and the order of things is probably on vacation. So, I'm just gonna put an end to this tiring, complex, weird day and tuck you into bed with this fine tune from an awe-inspiring Italian producer.
If I manage to see a decent, surreal dream tonight, I think it's gonna have this as background music while ltj experience will be making me pizza. Or spaghetti.
And then I'll wake up content and full.

Mornin' dubbin'
Although this would be a sound I would normally hit play to on a Friday night on my way out, for some reason it appears to be also perfect for a Tuesday morning. Especially the piano tune that bursts midways is pure relish.
Tel-Aviv-based Jean Claude Gavri knew what he was doing with this EP. Obviously Dimitri from Paris, François Kevorkian, Greg Wilson, Aeroplane and all those who support him, don't do it for no reason.
Repeat.

Surprise from Dubai
Rhythmic, soothing, playful, balmy, tuneful, refreshing, mild, trippy.
Bloody Tadi's tune is in total harmony with Sunday's mood and -seriously- its title couldn't be better. Hot as hell, just released and included in the Bust Free 15 compilation (or the oh-my-god-I'm-freakishly-digging-this compilation) by Cold Busted, this one is about to cause serious damage in some brain cells. Oh well, what the heck we're still young, let's burn a few. They'll reproduce.

Brain explosion
Fingerman has been hosted in here before and will be hosted again (last time I believe was the Call the doctor post). If you're not familiar with this dude's work, waste no more time and browse through his soundcloud page till your pc -or your brain- explodes. Mine just did. With this one.
This has been released in September by Midnight Riot in the Volume 5 compilation and this month will be on Fingerman's EP titled Riot Gear along with 5 other top-notch tunes. Check them all out here and if you use headphones, let me wish you good luck. I might have lost a teeny-tiny percentage of my hearing just now.

Sexy & saxy
Shazz Man is a Danish producer and songwriter who can also turn his head to the name Jesper Sidelmann. I'm still checking out the guy, but the Jazz Monster album he released back in 2010 has definitely something to say to me in a very jazzy and groovy kind of way. If you haven't heard of him so far, now is your chance with this album presentation which can give you a quite good preview of the album.
The "Flavour" track is the first one that blew me away -but for some reason it's not included in the album presentation- while I also love "Traffic Jam" and "Thinkin' lunch" (you can preview them here as well with their titles and all). Oh well, don't mind me. Check him out yourself and find your own favorite classy tune.

The voices are telling me to keep "repeat" pressed
While lovin' it's psych-noisy-airy-sentimental-swirly melody and having repeated it numerous times, I think it's time I shared this with you.
The new album "Voices" will be released in about two weeks and although I admit I never felt anything (except for the need to yawn maybe) with Phantogram's known track "When I'm small", the "Fall in love" tune gives me the chills every freaking time the repeat button sends it back to 0:00.
