Supernatural teen

Ben. E. King passed last year and the moment I heard, all my teenage years started a slideshow before my eyes. Stand by me -song and movie- was one of my favorite ones as a kid and I couldn't help but reviewing all these teen loves at the time of his death, like most people raised in the '80s.

This incredible soul singer paid me a musical visit the other day, as I was listening to Fingerman's "Your love".



Ben.E.King's "Supernatural thing" sends a groovy message from the past to the future through Fingerman and I'm a teen again.

Cool way to start the weekend.

Fingerman has been hosted in here before and will be hosted again (last time I believe was the Call the doctor post). If you're not familiar with this dude's work, waste no more time and browse through his soundcloud page till your pc -or your brain- explodes. Mine just did. With this one.

This has been released in September by Midnight Riot in the Volume 5 compilation and this month will be on Fingerman's EP titled Riot Gear along with 5 other top-notch tunes. I love the piano, I adore the female vocals, I worship Salsoul Records and I kneel before Logg. As a result, I' m with the 911 on speed dial when I turn on the volume to this.

In the same way, I have a thing for the John Morales version as well - actually, I think that this version came first to my ears and the original one was an inevitable tracing journey.

Having put this track in my all-time-favorites list, I search from time to time for an edit, another point of view on this beloved melody. And look -rather listen- what I found.



The piano, the vocals, the feeling, the atmosphere... it's all right there from the joining of powers of Fingerman and Funkyjaws - and it comes with a free download too.



More filters, more banging beat, more of a "get your ass up and start dancing" feeling from the Greek producer Christos "Da Afro".
