Ice Ice _ _ _ _ _

This sounds NOTHING like the shitty Monday I just had, but fits prefectly to this very hour, the beloved relax hour, just before the day ends.

Mr. Luke Million seems to have made a really ace sound which is also available for a free download and can make a real party starter.

Check out his page and find your own sounds. There's no way you won't find something you dig in there, from sets, edits, remixes, reposts and stuff.

Soul Monday

Something cozy and full of soul before we head to bed and wake up to kick off a brand new week, which who knows is gonna bring.

Just a little trip to the late '60s, with Arthur Conley's blessed voice and some heavenly horns, sad bass and perfect lead guitar, all in absolute tune with the piano bits.

Great, now I can't sleep...

The Breakbot experience

Since I managed to survive the previous stroke and attend yesterday's party without a heart attack, I might as well tell you a few things about my Breakbot experience.

I 'll be honest: there have been Breakbot sets that have absolutely blown my mind in their full duration, track by track. Yesterday, in The Kids are Alright party, I can say that I got the chills with 3-4 tracks that have never heard before, had minor strokes with 1 or 2 awesome unknown tunes (and the fact that they still remain unknown doesn't help my condition), danced a lot, came face to face with Breakbot -and without realizing it I think I froze and goggled-, but in the end I didn't totally get that "mind blowing" feeling.

I think it's because Breakbot's set was just 1 hour and a half -or a bit longer- and during that time he had to warm up, harsh it up, disco it down, bring back the old skool, play a few hits and close down. Too many things to do, too little time. But to tell you the truth, I don't care. Mind-blowing or not, I had a great time. Breakbot can do that to you, even with the worst one of his sets. And this man's talent of incorporating producing skills into a dj set is just beyond me.

Highlights: The I'm glad that you're here track, Breakbot's intro track (see video below), Michael Jackson's Thriller track with people from the crowd dancing on stage -they should have danced like zombies though, that would be fun- and the whole nostalgic '90s part of the set with Snap, Robin S and stuff.

(ok this actually was more than mind-blowing, I admit it)

(This is the Thriller track I mentioned, but that's it, sorry. No more videos. I prefer spending the night dancing than recording...)

After Breakbot, Busy P took over. He started off well with a really dirty edit on Imagination's Illusion and a bit of disco mood, but then things got too harsh for my ears, so I didn't stick around much longer. After all, I'm like 100 and if the music can't speak to me, I get tired and hungry.

Breakbot, it was about time

This Saturday. Ed Banger records party. Busy P and Breakbot. Can't actually make a complete sentence out of it. Having a small stroke right now.

Ok tickets already bought, so for now just counting days till Saturday night.
Breakbot, you won't let me down.
I know it.

Groovy jam

Now that winter time makes our nights longer, let's make good use of them.

Had something else other than groovy piano, funky drums, delicate bass and smooth trumpet in mind?

*Check out The NCY Milky Band page here, where you'll find tunes that cause ear to ear smiles and go back to a previous post of mine here where you'll dig out the work of Le Serveur, one of the bands talented members.

Move it, move it, move it!

This is one of those beats that make every inch of your body move to the rhythm, without actually controlling it. Magical, ain't it?

Sounds a little bit like Grammatik, with less intense snear, from the point of view of Dj Vas, who all you house lovers out there might remember from Kojak. Nuff said. Download for free and start movin' y'all!

Shortie

I just got over the fact that this spine-chilling piece with the magical intro is just 1.51 minute long (or short). Time to share it.

This makes me kinda worried that there are other awe-inspiring tunes like that out there and I might never know about them. Freaking unfair.
