Heavenly

Tunes that always keep me company in my alone time, from a voice that won't be forgotten.

Where'd all the good people go?

What’s goin’ on in this world is so beyond me, I can’t deal with it.

I feel genuine love and sympathy for all the tortured ones out there, whether they’re from Paris, Lebanon, Syria or any small corner in this disgusting world.

From borders to religion, from money to power, whatever divides people should be vanished, if we want love and peace to conquer our hearts.

Otherwise, there’s no hope.

Bye Frankie

This is what Frankie was doin' in 1987, inspired by Billy Paul, when we were kids and still hooked on Muppet Show and Smurfs.

Satoshie Tomiie, Robert Owens and of course Frankie Knuckles made "Tears" happen. I can still feel like a teenager when I listen to the Full Intention mix.

Frankie Knuckles playin' "The light" causin' delirium to the crowd. I'm so thankful I lived this kind of moment too, one of the three times I had the honor of enjoyin' his tunes live.

So long, Mr. Knuckles. Thank you for your music.
I still hope this is a very bad April Fools' joke.

Acid goodbye

Ronny Jordan, this jazzy-R&B inspired guitarist, was always hidden somewhere in my music library through the years. There were times he would come to my mind and have a day's playlist dedicated to him, but then there could pass months and months without magnetizing my finger to the play button. It's kinda sad that this last time I pressed play to his music, he has already head off, leaving this world with one less jazz musician.

I'm sure that his music will keep givin' us brighter days, though.
RIP, Ronny.

Not such a perfect day

Another important musician gone. Good thing is he left us walks on the wild side, perfect days, Sunday mornings and loads of music to remember him by.

Goodbye good man, Lou.

Music Duke

Sadly, George Duke, this beloved composer, producer, musician and singer left us with no music duke 3 weeks ago. Good thing is that he will keep shining on as long as our speakers and our ears still function normally.

So long George Duke. Thank you for your music.

* About 8 months ago, the SyntheTigers did a really good job on my favorite one,"Shine on", sharing it with a free download. Check it out and download it here.

Soft parade to the other side

The distinctive sound of The Doors is now silent and on its way to meet again with the band's powerful voice that's been mute since 1971. So long Ray.
