Back to the future

So '90s I could easily believe, without second thought, that it was on the tracklist of our high school parties. I mean, I can clearly see us, as 17-year-olds, dancing with our hands in the air to this tune. This of course doesn't mean that it's a high school tune, but surely brings out a nostalgic, old-skool touch, even though it was released in 2013.



I wonder what those 17-year-olds would do with this sound today.

Hope they'd still have butterflies. I do.

Heartbeat time

This ain't a new discovery. It's one of those low-profile tracks back in the ending '90s-beginning '00s that didn't make a lotta noise, but stood among my top house tunes all these years.

Inspired by a group of dudes in Nottingham, Schmoov!, who wanted to combine house music with their former experience as a funk live band, this is one of those tracks that I've never heard through the speakers of a bar or a night club, but can still grab me and take me back to the time when house music was what it was supposed to be: a heartbeat.
